History and description

The X 211 railcar is part of the X 210 series built in the early 1950s for the PO-Corrèze network, before being transferred to the Blanc-à-Argent line in 1967.
Originally, these engines were similar to their counterparts, but to better cope with the steep gradients in Corrèze, they were equipped with a Willème 517 F8 eight-cylinder in-line engine developing 152 hp, which was replaced by a 200 hp Poyaud 6 L 520 31 engine in 1983.
During the 1983 renovation, the exterior appearance was radically transformed, with the access doors being replaced by windows and the front ends modified.

It joined the Train du Bas-Berry fleet in 2004.
